Hi All,

We are specialised in truck on Carnet TIR to Russia.
Since about 2 years, we are required to put the TIR into the NCTS system.

We have bought the software to do so, and after a long period of problems are now since 1 year finally operating as it should be.

Then, the new connection between NCTS and ECS was created.
Now there is the possibility to add in box 40 the MRN numbers of EX/A and T-1 declarations. All given MRN numbers should then automatically be closed, when the TIR NCTS declaration has received 'permission for departure'.

Here comes our problem, when we make a truck there is an average of 50 export documents to be included in box 40.
Our software or the NCTS system, is not accepting more then 9 lines of previous documents.

we receive the following errorcode:

Qualifier: AAO
Errorcode: 36
GDS[O].AR2[O]
Too many segment group repetitions

Does anyone have experience with putting your EX/A docs as previous document in an electronic TIR Carnet?
If yes, are you able to insert more then 9 lines?
If yes, which software are you using?

Can you enter more articles so you can fill out 9 lines per article?

This is not a problem of the application you are using but a restriction in the NCTS departure programm of customs.
It is technically impossible to enter more then 9 previous documenents in the segment for Box 40.
If you are exceeding this quantity, you will have to create a seperate article/item per 9 preceeding docs.

Thanks for your reactions.
We will try this in the next truck.
Most probably this will be today.

When we have new results will update this forum.

It will work.

But please be advised that all previous ECS documents MUST have the status "Arrived at Exit accepted", in order to have the automated confirmation of exit on your ECS documents.

If you have created the ECS export clearance yourself, and notified Customs in the export DSU entry about the follow-up with NCTS(TIR), they will automatically have the correct status.

If you have received EAD documents, created by an exporter, or if the shipment has been moved from "Office of Export", to the "Office of Exit", you must have notified customs via the Trader at Exit message "Arrived at exit".

You will then receive a reply wit "Arrival at Exit Accepted".

This message will give the ECS document the correct status for the automated processing combined with field 40 on the NCTS (TIR)

Succes

Dear all,

We are a software supplier, and it is a customs regulation not to be able to put 9 previous documents on a declaration.
Normally (is possible) we split an line into multiple lines, the only problem you might have is that you have less than 6 boxes to ship (6 lines with 1 at least 1 box x 9 previous documents > 50 documents)
